Julie Curry is a life-long quilter with a passion for all things quilting. She coordinated the Creative Home Arts Department of the San Mateo County Fair for more than a decade, which included hundreds of quilts each year. In doing so, Julie worked with many quilt judges, piquing her interest in the judging process. She received her quilt judge training at the West Coast Quilt Judging Academy in 2012 and has judged for many groups throughout Northern California. Julie is committed to judging in a manner that is fair, thorough and compassionate.
Diana Muenzler’s infatuation of all things quilting began with an appreciation for antique quilts she viewed in museums. She made her first quilt in the early 1990s, and hasn’t stopped. Her quilting journey took on a serious note in 2005 when she attended the National Quilting Association’s training course for judges in Columbus, Ohio.

Her quilting journey took on a serious note in 2005 when she attended the National Quilting Association’s training course for judges in Columbus, Ohio. Since 2006, Diana has been actively involved with the judging process for the River City Quilters Guild’s (Sacramento, CA) annual Quilt Show. To ensure her judging skills were keeping pace with the latest trends, in 2017 she attended the National Association of Certified Quilt Judges’ Quilt Judging Seminar held at the Pacific International Quilt Festival in Santa Clara, CA. Diana’s judging goal is to inspire quilters’ of all levels of expertise.
Kitty has been quilting for over 35 years. She has been an active quilt judge for over 10 years, training with the West Coast Quilt Judging Academy in 2012 and then acting as a judging instructor in 2013. Aside from multiple years as co-chair of her guild’s judging committee she has mentored numerous new judges. Kitty states “I am a teacher at heart and the quilting expertise I have gained is best shared with other quilters by being a judge.” Kitty loves the opportunity to encourage and challenge quilters at all levels, through meaningful and thoughtful comments.
